The Flash Extended Trailer
In the extended trailer, viewers not only Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) waking up from the coma he's been in since his "Arrow" introduction, but also testing out his new superspeed -- including going for a test run at Ferris Air, in an obvious reference to "Green Lantern" character Carol Ferris. The reel introduces much of the rest of the show's main cast, including Jesse L. Martin (Detective West), Candice Patton (Iris West) and Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells). Plus, the video also features Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), first seen last month on "Arrow."
Plus, it looks like the Weather Wizard -- albeit with a first name of Clyde (Clive?) rather than Mark -- is the first Rogue the new small-screen Flash will be facing, described, like Barry, by the distinctly DC Universe term "metahuman." There's even some insight into the nature of Barry's powers, as hypothesized by Cavanagh's character: "A dimensional barrier ruptured, unleashing unknown energies into our world." All that, plus a significant cameo from "Arrow" star Stephen Amell as that show's title character, the Arrow/Oliver Queen, making the strong link between the two programs clear.
