Initially announced only as debuting in a couple dozen movie theaters nationwide on Black Friday, the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" teaser trailer has arrived online, courtesy of iTunes. It's the first look at the 2015 film, the first "Star Wars" movie in a decade -- and 88 seconds that will surely be very closely scrutinized until the next look at the sequel surfaces. The teaser gives a first good look at new cast members Jon Boyega and Daisy Ridley, as well as a hooded figure brandishing a new take on a lightsaber.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, "The Force Awakens" stars franchise veterans Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis, and newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie. The film is scheduled to open Dec. 18, 2015.
